30-DAY STORYLEARNING® CHALLENGE

Spoken Spanish Made Simple

Real Spanish sounds nothing like it does in your textbook! Take our September challenge & learn to effortlessly understand fast, spoken Spanish from the real world... in only 30 days!

Start Date: September 1st

Level: A2/B1 (Upper Beginner / Lower Intermediate)

Do you struggle to understand fast, spoken Spanish... the way real people speak it?

Well then I’ve got news for you…

You’re not alone!

Spanish learners from New York to Newcastle, Tokyo to Timbuktu have a hard time making the leap from textbook to real-life, and understanding fast, conversational Spanish...

  • Making sense of all those strange little words like "bueno", "vale", “mira” and "o sea" that Spanish speakers constantly use in conversation
  • Separating words in your brain & telling them apart, especially when they all seem to blend together in longer sentences
  • Understanding all the strange abbreviations & colloquial slang that make spoken Spanish feel like a different language

It's easy to feel like you'll never truly get your head around spoken Spanish.

Well, not so fast...

Help is at hand!

I’ve created a unique 30-day challenge, Spoken Spanish Made Simple, that will help you understand fast, spoken Spanish (the way it's spoken on the street), so you can finally understand what you hear, and take a more active part in conversations in Spanish.

If you've tried learning Spanish in school, or by yourself with textbooks, but you've hit a roadblock, then this challenge is just what you need!

It's like nothing you've tried before.

And the method might come as a bit of a shock...

But if you're ready for a breakthrough in your Spanish, then this might be the best thing you'll try all year...

Introducing the September Challenge:

"Spoken Spanish Made Simple"

With..

Here’s how the challenge works.

The challenge is based on an exciting original story in Spanish that develops over the 30 days of the challenge.

This is a brand new story, written exclusively for this 30-Day Challenge.

Unlike normal stories, this story is jam-packed with colloquial spoken Spanish. All of the key aspects that make spoken Spanish different from "textbook Spanish" are covered in our challenge:

  • Pronunciation quirks and mispronounced words that make spoken Spanish unique
  • "Shortened stuff" like abbreviations, words that get merged together and sounds that are skipped in spoken Spanish
  • "Added stuff", including random words like "bueno", "vale" and "o sea" that native speakers use often in conversation
  • Spanish slang and colloquial words that you won't find in any textbook!

But it's not just the story...

Every day, you’ll receive an amazing package of training to help you decode the Spanish you hear in the story, such as daily video lessons, audio, and exercises.

It'll take you about 15 minutes each day.

All you have to do is show up every day…

Over the course of the month, the combination of immersion and training will help you absorb the colloquial spoken Spanish naturally, until you "just know" instinctively what Spanish people mean when they speak.

The result is that you'll be able to speak Spanish confidently and naturally, without sounding like a robot.

You'll emerge at the end of the 30 days with a deep, instinctive understanding of how spoken Spanish works!

Here's What's Included...

The concept is beautifully simple!

Every day, for 30 days, you’ll get:

  • One 250-word chapter of our Spanish story (jam-packed with examples of spoken Spanish in context)
  • The written story plus audio book (so you can read or listen...wherever you are!)
  • A short 5-minute video lesson with our instructor, Lucía. (She’ll explain the usage of the spoken Spanish used in the story)
  • A short daily practice exercise (to help you remember what you’ve learned)
  • Discussion with dozens of fellow challengers in our interactive Facebook group (so you can discuss the story and get answers to questions).

We’ve carefully structured the entire 30 days, so all you have to do is turn up and get stuck in!

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is the challenge for?
Both the story and the lesson content are aimed at A2-B1 level. (That's high-beginner to low-intermediate). In other words, this is for you if you've been studying Spanish for a little while (or maybe a long while!) and can understand at least some Spanish, but struggle to speak it in a comfortable and natural way.
How can I access the challenge?
Mobile, desktop, laptop, tablet... The challenge is super user-friendly and you'll be able to log on from anywhere!
What exactly will I learn? How will this challenge help me?
During this challenge, we'll focus on spoken Spanish and how it differs from written Spanish and "textbook Spanish". You'll see examples of natural spoken Spanish recycled over and over throughout the story. This means you'll learn how spoken Spanish works to the point where you can understand and us it effortlessly. You'll get daily lessons from Lucía, where you'll learn specifically how spoken Spanish works in each chapter of our story. This means you'll develop an intuitive and native-like understanding of the language.
What if it's too hard, or my level is too low?
To make the challenge achievable, we've kept each chapter short - only 250 words! This means that you'll be able to easily make it to the end of the chapter each day, even if it does take you a little longer. However, the daily video lessons will give you all the support you need, as you'll have clear, professional explanations for how spoken Spanish is used in the story. This means that, even if you're really unsure about spoken Spanish right now, just by watching and studying the daily videos, you'll learn to think about them like a native speaker by the end of the challenge. If I had my way, this is the only way students would ever learn Spanish grammar!
What's so special about this "StoryLearning" method anyway?
Most Spanish students try to learn spoken Spanish with textbook dialogues. This doesn't work, and is extremely stressful for you as a learner. Why? Because the Spanish you'll find in your textbook is nothing like the way people speak in real life! It's also not a natural approach... With the "Spoken Spanish Made Simple" challenge, you'll learn through example and context, just like native speakers do! The magic of learning through story is that your main focus is actually not on the "focus topic"... you concentrate on understanding and enjoying the conversations in our story! As you're reading and listening to the story, the quirks of spoken Spanish will begin to lodge themselves subconsciously in your brain. It doesn't happen right away - in fact it may take a couple of weeks for you to feel the real effects. But by the end of the 30 days, you'll have a native-like command of the way the language is used in conversation.
I'm not sure I can commit for 30 days
Your daily commitment is only 15 minutes. This is because the principle of the challenge is little and often is the best way to learn. 15 minutes is a pretty manageable amount of time to devote to your Spanish. You can fit it in comfortably: • before breakfast • during your lunch break • after dinner • ...even while waiting for the bus! The power is in the consistency - working at it for a short time every day. You'll be amazed at the huge progress you make from simply showing up every day to work on one area of your Spanish! Remember, you get the audio of the story, as well as the text, so you can easily take part and keep up wherever you happen to be!
What if I am unhappy with the challenge?
I would never want you to be unhappy! If you are unsatisfied with the challenge, contact me at any point during the challenge and I'll issue you full and prompt refund.
How long do I have access to the course after the end of the challenge?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
